She popularly termed as Bipasha Basu of Indian television. She is now a popular face in TV industry and had done few Bengali movies as well. She has won the Miss Calcutta and made her acting debut on television with Kumkum in 2002. She was also briefly seen making an appearance in Ronit Roy's much acclaimed show Adaalat, Sabki Laadli Bebo on Star Plus and Crime Patrol on Sony TV. She was one of the popular participant of Colors channel's most sensational show Big Boss season 6. It is being heard that Sayantani is dating TV actor Bharat Kaul, who debuted as an actor with Bengali soaps followed by Bengali movies later graduated to Hindi soaps and who's also a senior actor, is seen in Mata Ki Chowki. He was once living in with Bengali actress Anushree Das. He later fell in love with Sayantani and the two have been inseparable ever since. She is gearing up for her new show, which incidentally is looked after by her boyfriend Bharat Kaul. Sayantani and Bharat have been dating for almost a decade now, but she had managed to keep it under wraps all this.
